Donating to Imago Theatre is an investment in a specific kind of cultural impact: feminist, socially-conscious, inclusive, and radically accessible storytelling. For 40 years, Imago has been carving out a space for voices that the mainstream stage often overlooks.
Mentorship and artistic development is at the core of Imago’s mission. Sharing experiences and engaging in two-way relationships make intergenerational connections that empower artists to find and value their voices.

Every donation goes directly towards supporting Imago’s award-winning and critically acclaimed productions, free mentorship programs, paying artist programs, accessibility initiatives - like Pay-What-You-Decide tickets and French surtitles, and their compassion fund. Your donation does not just buy a prop or a costume, it enriches our theatre landscape and allows time for artists to develop their craft.

Imago Theatre approaches its 40th Anniversary in 2027 and our garden is in full bloom. With a dedicated team, vibrant artist programs, and award-winning productions, Imago continues to nurture bold storytelling and the next generation of theatre artists.
At a time when our world feels frenzied with screens and AI, the audiences and communities we serve are telling us something powerful: they need human connection and live, communal storytelling more than ever.And to grow our garden, Imago needs your support more than ever.
Our recent productions of Adventures, Cult Play, and CRASH are in conversations to reach audiences across Canada. Looking ahead, our two upcoming world premieres in 2026/27 by Montreal women playwrights are already attracting interest for future touring life!
Everything we do is in support of our vision to imagine an equitable and empathetic world in which all people are free to explore, express, and celebrate their authentic selves with full access to stories that reflect our diverse communities.
To celebrate our milestone year, we have set a goal to raise $40,000 by December 31, 2026.
